Lovin' the lashes!!

Delaney Ann....love her lashes!!   They make me smile on days I don't quite feel like smilin'!   Just saying!

Is it bad that.....???

Is it bad that I am glad Christmas is over?

It has been a difficult time of year with my Dad being gone and watching my mom struggle as well with his absence.  But with that being said I have to say the real reason I am glad

it is over is because I think we lose what the real reason is for the holiday season.

Everyone hustles around buying gifts that many people don't need and not to mention that for most people, including us, it truly isn't in the budget to buy all those things.

We need to set up a xmas fund each year I think to make it through these months.

My biggest wish for the holidays is always to just focus on being together and thankful for

what we ALREADY have versus what we will be getting.

Each year we try and scale back and finally this year we did.  It felt good to be on track with the budget and still allowed the kids to have some nice things yet not that feeling of over-doing it.

But the bah-humbug in me still tries to peak its' way through and I fight to keep it away.  So is it bad for me to say I am glad its over so I can keep the blahs away!!??

I hope everyone finds the true meaning in the holidays....family, friends and being close to one another and realizing what really matters.  The days we have together we never know so I am so glad that this year we were able to focus on that.
